How verification works
Last updated 5 October 2026
Verification and Business profiles are optional. They help people see who is behind a Page. They are separate from your plan: paying never verifies anyone.
Verified
A verified badge means VuPage completed a check on one specific thing, such as your identity, your website, a professional registration or an organisation. It shows a completed check, not a guarantee of future behaviour. Pages from verified accounts usually go live straight away, and the content guidelines still apply to them.
Business profile
A Business profile is for shops, studios and companies. It adds a business section to your public profile (name, industry, address, and tax or registration details where they apply) and a business badge on your Pages. Your registration details are checked, and once approved, the business is verified.
How to request verification
- Open Verification from the menu in the top bar.
- Choose what you want verified, and describe it in a few lines.
- Attach a document or evidence that supports it. Only our review team can see it.
- We review the request. You will see one of: being reviewed, we need more information (you can reply with it), approved, or not approved with a reason. You can apply again if it was not approved.
How to request a Business profile
- Open Business profile in your settings.
- Fill in your business details and the tax or registration information shown for your country, then attach one proof document.
- We review it and tell you here and in your notifications. Once approved, your profile shows the business badge.
- You can switch back to a personal profile at any time. Your live Pages stay live, and new Pages go through review again.
What verification does not mean
It is not an endorsement. It does not mean we vouch for what someone offers or how they behave. Check who you are dealing with, and report anything that looks wrong. Verification can be removed or may need renewing, for example if details change or the guidelines are broken.
