VuPage is a place to publish and discover visual Pages. This explains what we collect about you, why, who helps us run the service, and the choices you have. We try to keep it plain.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, country and a password (kept only as a one-way hash). If you sign in with Google we receive your name and verified email from Google.
- What you publish: your profile, Pages, Looking For requirements, photos and videos links, and anything you choose to make public.
- Private activity: messages, interests you show, notifications, reports you make, and people you block or mute.
- Membership: your plan, trial and payment history. Card details go to the payment provider; we never see or store them.
- Technical data: your IP address, browser and device type for signed-in sessions (so you can see where you are signed in), security logs, and simple page-view and interest counts that tell Page owners how their Pages perform.
- Verification: if you ask to be verified, the documents you send for that purpose.
How we use it
- To run your account, show your Pages, and let people contact you.
- To keep the service safe: reviewing Pages, handling reports, stopping spam and fraud.
- To email you what you need (confirming your address, password changes, messages and activity you have not turned off).
- To take payments and keep records the law requires.
- To understand how the service is used so we can improve it.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not show third-party advertising.
Who helps us
We use a small number of providers, each only for its job: email delivery, image storage and delivery, bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile), sign-in with Google (if you choose it), and payment providers (Razorpay, Stripe or PayPal, depending on your country). If you play an embedded YouTube or Vimeo video, that provider receives your request once you press play. We share only what each provider needs, and we may disclose information when the law requires it.
What is public
Your profile and any Page you publish can be seen by anyone, and search engines may list them. Pages marked private or password-protected are only shown to the people you allow. Your email address and phone number are not shown on your public profile.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account we remove your profile, Pages, Looking For and sign-in details straight away. Messages you already sent remain visible to the people you wrote to, shown as “Deleted member”. Payment and security records may be kept for as long as the law requires. Backups are overwritten on a rolling basis within about five weeks.
Your choices and rights
- See and download your data: Settings → Privacy and data → Download my data.
- Delete your account: Settings → Privacy and data → Delete my account.
- Correct your details: edit your profile any time.
- Control email: notification settings, or the unsubscribe link in any email.
- Block or mute any member from their profile.
- See where you are signed in and sign out other devices in Settings → Password and security (this is also where you turn on two-step login).
Depending on where you live you may have further rights, such as objecting to some uses or complaining to a data protection authority. Contact us and we will help.
Security
Passwords are hashed, connections are encrypted, staff accounts need two-step login, and sensitive keys are stored encrypted. No service is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and turn on two-step login. To report a security problem, see our security contact.
Children
VuPage is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you believe a child has an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Moving data between countries
Our providers may process data in other countries. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards.
Changes and contact
If we make a significant change we will tell you on the site or by email. Questions about this policy or your data: support@vupage.com.
